Every year I run a little contest on the Forum's message board for the top local release of the year, be it an album, demo, single, myspace track or whatever. It's usually a crap prize of some booze and the 'prestige' of winning the votes. The link is here: http://www.twforums.co.uk/board/viewtopic.php?t=6049&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=&sid=1e9542b950beb49d62c7d621ee4d64e1
I have of course voted Veldt in an easy first place and it would be rather nice if some other people joined in the vote to see the lads get some small recognition of a job well done. So if you want to go through the rigmorole of registering on the boards to cast your vote, then please feel free to do so. However, please bear in mind that this is supposed to be a fair contest and as such, in order to vote for Veldt, you should also vote for 2 other local releases. You don't have to be a Forum regular or anything, but if you like any of the bands that originate from Kent/Sussex, the odds are, they've played The Forum in the past year, so vote for their release if you wish. The criteria is within the rules, so only vote if you can genuinely vote for artists or releases in addition to Veldt.
I'm not on Myspace yet, but if someone reading this wishes to spread the word of Veldt to local-ish people who could vote, then every little helps! _________________ Never ever bloody anything ever! |

Veldt didn't win. Nobody else voted for them
Oh well. Looks like the prize of a bottle of Vodka will have to go to the quite ghastly Haemostatic Picnic Races instead. _________________ Never ever bloody anything ever! |

The Haemostatic Picnic Races? What kind of name is that?
As ever, massive thanks for championing our cause Mr Millsey.
Hope you are well and things are looking up for 2007. _________________ I'm generally the one in the brown outfit... |
